The Two Wolves

I was just thinking about this story the other day and wanted to share it with you.

A native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. He said "I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one."

The grandson asked him, which wolf will win the fight in your heart?

The grandfather answered: "The one I feed."

It is so true.  We have to be careful to "feed" the right part of our hearts.  If we allow negative people and thoughts to be a part of our day, we are feeding the "vengeful, angry wolf" inside each of us.

We control what we allow in our hearts and minds, and I know there are many days that I allow negative thoughts to rule my day.  We all do that from time to time.  I am going to strive to focus on allowing people and thoughts into my life that will build me up, encourage me, and help me be the best I can be.  So, fair notice to the negative thoughts in the world...I don't have time for you!
